More on Australias Marriage Tax
So I have recently received a response for further information to the Gillard Governments announcement of an Australian Marriage Tax (aka Professional Celebrants Fee).
It is rather disspointing. There really is no information.
Further reference to the "extensive and close" consultation, adequate resourcing and enforcement were all used as justification for the introduction of the fee.
The AG Department as still no indicating any direction or clear policy on what direction they expect to go with this new fee. This Marriage Tax.

Why School chaplains are so important
So recently my youngest child went through a lengthy period of bullying - without us knowing. It esculated to a point that involved weapons and he is only 9.
We immediately notified the school and district office.
Pm Day 1 - I Discover the situation
Lunchtime Day 2 - Call from guidance officer
PM Day 2 - Speak with teacher
Summary of day 2 - advised "bigger problem" discovered within the grade with systemic bullying by a particular group.

Is Australia Getting a Marriage Tax
I am a marriage celebrant. I don't make a huge deal of it, I am passionate about it but certainly do not do it for the money and fame like some celebrants I know.
Anyway this week the Gillard Government delivered their first Federal Budget. And hidden in the papers was a little tid bit of information to be announced the next day in the form of an email to all Authorised Marriage Celebrants.
The Marriage Celebrants Section of the Attorney Generals Department has notified all Celebrants of the introduction of a "Professional Celebrant Fee" And I intend to fight it.
THE FACTS:-

Becoming a Marriage Celebrant and Travelling Overseas Plus a new hobby
So just over a month ago Katy and I got back from 6 weeks in enigmatic Bali. It is such a beautiful place. Stunning weather, amasing and friendly people. Every time we have to come home it gets harder and harder.
We were there for our 6 Weeks to celebrate our 10year anniversary. What a rush that was. We had afull traditional balinese wedding. One of the families we know offered us their family temple and we had members of the family from all over the island come and help with the ceremony. It truely was an amasing experience and something I will never forget.

Well let us just say things have been a little delayed
To all those who have signed up already and are considering registering here at theconstancefamily.com please be assured I am working on it......it has not been forgotten, but unfortunately it has not been the highest priority nor will it be for a little while.
Goals for the site include
1) Including a geneology section
2) Investigating a photo gallery section
3) Better blogging
4) Tutorials
5) Forums
6) Improved layout
It WILL take time but it will get there.....one day ;)
